The short term vision is to create a deployable composting garden solution to easily allow people to both compost and garden.
Long term it would be great to be able to create a .org where people can volunteer to help deploy and plant out composting gardens for others which may include:
- Wheelchair bound people who still want to garden. Being a raised bed it can easily be reached by people in wheelchairs.
- Elderly or disabled people who have trouble standing or gardening at ground level. With a composting garden you can sit in a chair and garden.
- People Living in a food desert, Where fresh food is unavailable. In less than an hour, with just for volunteers one of our composting gardens can be deployed filled with soil and planted with fresh vegetables.
- Disaster relief, when some disasters happen people can loose everything. wouldn’t it be great if we had volunteers that could show up and deploy a composting garden? It may not seem like much but it can be a big moral booster to see that something is growing again.
- PTSD Gardening is therapeutic and I think this could help some people with PTSD and other disabilities.
