Composting gardens are pretty simple really, it combines composting and gardening. Traditionally you would have a separate compost pile where you would allow stuff to break down over time. Then when it was ready you would add it to your garden soil to feed your plants. This works well if you have the room and time to maintain the compost pile.
With composting gardening the compost bin is integrated into the raised garden bed. Once or twice a week when your kitchen compost bucket is full you add the contents of the buckets to the compost bin in the center of the garden. Over time the contents break down into a compost that in turn feeds the soil and the plants growing around it in the raised bed.
